Vincent's Hospital Westchester in Harrison, New York is seeking a dynamic, experienced Licensed Social Worker for a per diem position; shifts on our inpatient behavioral health units.
Under the direction of the department leadership, provides social work services consisting of comprehensive case management, discharge planning, continuing care services and clinical social work services, including crisis intervention.
In addition, the social worker is responsible for the education of patients, families and/or significant others.
Provides community education as dictated by department or programmatic needs.
Participates in related functions of the department.
Requirements :
Master's Degree in Social Work or MHC from an accredited SchoolMust be a NYS LMSW (LCSW preferred for Inpatient Services/required for Ambulatory Services) or LMHC at the time of hire or must secure NYS LMSW or LMHC before completion of probationary period.
Once NYS LMSW or LMHC is secured, it must be kept current as a condition of employment.
Maintenance of authorization for New York State third party reimbursement with R or P rating is preferred (LCSW).
If LCSW, membership in the NASW Academy of Certified Social Workers is desirable.
Prior psychiatric experience in a hospital or community health agency preferred; prior experience with assigned patient population may be required.
Computer literacy preferred.
Pay:
$40-42/hr Recommended Skills Behavioral Medicine Case Management Clinical Social Work Community Health Computer Literacy Crisis Intervention Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
